Glasgow 2014 reveals master licensee for Commonwealth Games

Venue Retail 2014 to oversee all aspects of merchandising; full range to feature over 1,500 items.
Glasgow 2014 has confirmed the company which has been tasked with delivering the merchandise for the Commonwealth Games.
Venue Retail 2014 has been appointed as the Organising Committee's master licensee, and will oversee all aspects of merchandising. This will include product sourcing, granting of sub licences, providing and running shops at venues, live site kiosks, as well as other local retail outlets.
The organisation will also be responsible for online sales.
The team behind VRL was responsible for London 2012's in-venue merchandise programme. They delivered on-site merchandising at all Olympic venues (excluding Wimbledon), managed the Coca-Cola Olympic merchandise sales on the Olympic Park and at the Hyde Park superstore, as well as online sales.
For Glasgow 2014, the firm will bring together a full range of Games products, as well as grant licences to other third party merchandise suppliers.
The full range will feature over 1,500 items, with an initial collection available for public sale before Christmas 2012. The full range will be launched in 2013.
