New magazine aimed at three to six year-olds hitting shelves on July 23rd.
Egmont Magazines has added to its licensed portfolio, launching a new Numberjacks title on July 23rd.
Aimed at three to six year-olds, the title will feature all the animated superhero numbers from the Cbeebies show, focusing on introducing young children to the world of maths in a fun and engaging way.
Content will cover everything from numbers to counting, shapes, measuring and problem solving. The magazine will include a 'Boredom Buster' pull out featuring activity ideas for parents to try with their children.
There is also a grown-ups corner on every page, stickers in each issue to use with the activities, an Agent Mission chart and stories.
The title will have a cover price of £1.99, with a new edition out every three weeks. Egmont will be launching the magazine with an initial print run of 170,000, with each issue having a covermount with links to the magazine's content to promote learning through play, as well as stickers.
The first issue features a 'jumbo' gift set including sticker box, play mobile phone spinner and jumbo magnet set.
An extensive marketing campaign will be supporting the launch, beginning with sampling in Soft Play Centres across the country. There will also be joint marketing and promotions with the new Numberjacks books from Egmont.
"We are delighted to be adding Numberjacks to our market leading pre-school portfolio," said Debbie Cook, director of Egmont Magazines. "As well as sitting comfortably alongside other Egmont titles like Dora the Explorer and Thomas & Friends, Numberjacks is particularly exciting due to its unique emphasis on mathematics and established popularity among its target audience.
"We are sure parents will enjoy seeing their children's maths and thinking skills develop, just as much as our young readers will love getting stuck into all the fun activities."
Julie Quirke, head of licensing at Granada Ventures, added: "We are delighted to be working with Egmont on the new Numberjacks magazine, as they have vast experience in the children's market and have developed a fantastic product that really allows children to interact with the brand in an imaginative and exciting way."
