KidsCo launches in Germany

Deal with local cable operator Unitymedia sees channel go on air.
Family-friendly channel KidsCo is continuing to make inroads into Europe, signing a new agreement with local cable operator, Unitymedia in Germany.
The deal means that, from today (October 29th), German viewers will be able to watch a raft of programming including Heathcliff (pictured), Inspector Gadget, Cyberchase and Corduroy, as well as a number of feature length family movies.
"We are delighted that German families now have access to KidsCo," said Paul Robinson, MD at KidsCo. "Germany is a key territory for us and we look forward to further penetrating the market in Western Europe."
Parm Sandhu, CEO of Unitymedia in Cologne, added: "With KidsCo we are offering families a child-friendly TV channel with popular series and well-known characters. We are delighted that the broadcaster is launching in German cable first in Unitymedia's cable networks."
KidsCo - which launched just over a year ago - is now available in over 40 territories.
