Chorion inks TF1 deal for Olivia

French broadcaster picks up licensing and merchandising rights for growing brand.
Chorion is continuing to sign deals across Europe for a number of its properties.
French broadcaster TF1 has picked up the licensing and merchandising rights to Olivia in the territory, following its pre-buy of the TV series at Mipcom last year.
"Olivia is a delightful new television series and we are excited to be planning an extensive licensing programme to accompany the show," said Hubert Taieb, deputy general manager of TF1 Enterprises.
Meanwhile, also in France, Universal has been secured as the DVD distributor for Chorion's new Noddy in Toyland series, while in Portugal media group Lusomundo has also picked up the DVD rights.
The Mr Men and Little Miss brand continues to build, with Victoria Couture signing a pan-European agreement for cashmere and silk garments. In the UK, Global Licensing will be introducing apparel into Tesco, Wesco is producing a gift line, while Worlds Apart has a ready room range including soundchips.
In Spain, United Labels has signed up to launch a Mr Men gifts and apparel line for 2009, while Portugal's biggest retail group Sonae will be producing adult and children's apparel starting from the autumn.
Finally, a new deal has also been secured for the World of Beatrix Potter brand with Amboise to produce a line of jewellery.
