Beanstalk Group extends reach to Asia

Brand licensing agency opens its first Asian office in Hong Kong as it seeks to grow client roster.
The Beanstalk Group has set its sights on expansion in the Asian market, opening the doors of its first office in Hong Kong this week.
The ambitious company is looking to extned its client roster of corporate brands into the Asian marketplace, beginning with Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover and Samsonite among others.
Beanstalk Hong Kong will be headed up by Josephine Law, who joins as director of brand development, Asia. Law has two decades of licensing, manufacturing, product development and marketing experience. Most recently she was global licensing director for Byford International, the British men's underwear and hosiery brand.
She has also held positions as licensing area manager for the Asia Pacific ELLE magazine licensing programme, establishing its Shanghai office, while she spent five years in sales and marketing roles in the footwear industry.
"There's no doubt that licensing and brand extensions in Asia are distinctly different from other regions of the world, from the audience and culture to the retailers and intellectual property rules and regulations," Law stated. "However, the Beanstalk Group's expertise in expanding global brands into diverse markets and cultures is entirely unmatched in the industry."
Law will report directly to Ciarán Coyle, senior VP international, who is based in the firm's London office.
