TV deal for HarperCollins' Have a Go Harvey

Conexion Media Group moving into TV production after striking agreement for kids series.

Entertainment and media rights company Conexion is to produce an animated TV series based on the HarperCollins property, Have a Go Harvey.

The deal launches Conexion's television production business, with the pre-production and pilot now being worked on to present to international broadcasters in October.

"We're delighted by Conexion Media's shared excitement at developing HarperCollins' Have A Go Harvey publishing series for TV," said Melanie Beer, head of licensing and content development at HarperCollins. "The experience and enthusiasm of Mark [Rowland] and his team, coupled with Colin's [Davis] award winning writing style, will ensure that Harvey is developed into a successful international brand both on and off screen.

"Our vision is to turn Harvey into the Mr Benn of today."

Mark Rowland, head of business development at Conexion, added: "We believe that we have the perfect partner with HarperCollins and the perfect property. Harvey is ideal to be developed into a television series."
