Space signs brace of DVD deals for The Hive

Space Enterprises has signed up a further two DVD distribution deals for pre-school show, The Hive.

ITV is already on board to produce the DVDs, with the new deals seeing a Russian language version distributed by Novy Disc in Russia, Georgia and CIS, while Beyond will handle Australia and New Zealand.

"We are delighted to have two top distributors lined up for these DVDs," said Mark Hurry, director of licensing at Space. "The fact that we have signed these deals when The Hive has not even broadcast yet is demonstrative of just how much anticipation is surrounding this property. It's going to be absolutely massive."

Aykroyds and TDP, plus Blues Clothing, are set to produce a range of nightwear/underwear and children's apparel respectively for The Hive, while EMI has the worldwide licence for music publishing.

Space is also looking to extend the brand across the toy and publishing categories.
