Busy Bang on the Door eyes strong start to 2011

New Latin American agent signed, plus wide range of licensees across key categories.
Bang on the Door will see a raft of licensees developing and launching new product in early 2011.
For starters, Bluebird Brands will be rolling out its line of Fabric Animals gifts and accessories - including money boxes, keyrings, umbrellas and purse sets, travel, pamper and holiday sets, canvas book bags and shoppers - in the UK at the beginning of the year.
Cotton Crosses will develop a full range of cross-stitched characters in the UK for BOTD, meanwhile, with the brand returning to the category after three and a half years. DNC continues its long-term involvement with the brand, signing up for Fabric Animals and developing a kitten and puppy lunchbag and bottle, which have been snapped up by Next, Boots, Wilkinson's and Debenhams.
Moving on, and Watermelon and The Fashion Lab have collaborated on a childrenswear apparel range - also picked up by Next - while The Licence Factory has produced two gifts, accessories and cosmetics lines for BOTD using Fabric Animals, Make Me Famous, Football Crazy and I Rock. The ranges will include slippers, neckwarmers, canvas shoppers, wellingtons, umbrellas and bath and body kits among others, all due in 2011.
Other licensees on board include Shreds (children's backpacks, bags, tabards and aprons), Personalised Memento Co (gifts), The Cookie Company (apparel and accessories for Benelux), Lannoo (stationery and bags) and Venetsianos (nightwear for Greece).
Finally, BOTD has also finalised a direct deal with Fung Ling Wah for ceramics and melamine.
On top of the new partners, the firm has hired P&L Global to represent the brand in Mexico, Guatemala, Panama, Columbia, Peru and Chile.
"If we can replicate the success we have enjoyed in Brazil in these new territories, then the next few years promise to be hugely exciting," commented Karen Duncan, BOTD MD.
