Deal with AutoOcar will see launch of world's first Bluetooth controlled die-cast car.
The Ford licensing programme is expanding after Beanstalk struck a deal with Bluetooth solution specialist, AutoOcar.
The firm will now develop a Bluetooth controlled die-cast car range, launching in early 2011. Models will include the Ford Focus RS500, Ford Fiesta and Ford Mustang GT at 1:43 scale.
The cars are able to be controlled remotely by iPhone and Android devices with Bluetooth technology and will be available across Asia, Europe and North America.
Application software will be downloadable from the AutoOcar portal, Android's Marker and the iTunes store.
"This licensing partnership with AutoOcar supports Ford's position at the forefront of modern mobile technology," said Josephine Law, director of brand development, Asia at Beanstalk. "We are pleased to help Ford leverage its distinct brand heritage by offering consumers new ways to embrace the brand and its nameplates."
