Saban Brands boosts Power Rangers in India

Dream Theatre appointed as licensing agent; Nickelodeon India picks up broadcast rights.
Saban Brands is continuing to expand the Power Rangers Samurai franchise into new territories.
The firm has appointed Dream Theatre as its exclusive licensing agent in India for the brand, while Nickelodeon India has picked up the broadcast rights.
Dream Theatre will launch products across apparel, stationery, bags and luggage and back to school across a wide range of stores in India.
"We are delighted to work with Saban Brands and represent Power Rangers Samurai in India," said Jiggy George, founder and CEO of Dream Theatre. "With its iconic status and ever growing popularity, we are very bullish on Power Rangers Samurai taking the Indian market by storm."
Meanwhile, Nickelodeon has picked up all 700 episodes of classic Power Rangers, plus Power Rangers Samurai for the territory.
