The first official trailer for the eagerly awaited new Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises, is now available to view.

The movie, which hits cinemas in July 2012, sees Christian Bale return as the superhero, and also stars Anne Hathway as Catwoman/Selina Kyle and Tom Hardy.

Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman and Michael Caine also return.
