Character World grows video games offering

Super Mario Bros and Sonic added, while textile specialist is also expanding into Europe.
Character World has had a storming start to 2012, adding two high profile video games brands to its catalogue and also revealing plans for expansion in Europe.
The firm will be producing bedroom textiles for Nintendo's Super Mario Bros and other characters, as well as Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog.
Character World has been awarded the rights to suppy products across Europe, as well as the Middle East and Africa, for the first time in its history.
A range of products including duvet sets, curtains, cushions and fleece blankets will hit shelves from June.
The deal has also resulted in the appointment of a dedicated European sales team to manage the accounts.
Irene Vedder has been appointed European sales manager, joining from Worlds Apart where she was international sales manager. Ilham Trari has arrived as European sales support executive, joining the company from FIFA, while Mark Russell has been taken on as European customer services executive.

"We've been carefully planning our launch into Europe for some time and these two brands are the perfect licences to take us into this market.
"We've spent the past four years researching the marketplace prior to taking on the multi territory deals, meaning we're well poised for future growth in this area."
