Postman Pat The Movie dated

Postman Pat is set to make his big screen debut next year, with Classic Media confirming a May 24th 2013 release date for the character's first feature film.

The firm has teamed with Icon Film Distribution, Lionsgate UK and RGH Entertainment - the animation development and production unit of Rubicon Group Holding - for Postman Pat The Movie.

The film finds Pat coming face to face with the temptations of money, status and a shiny new suit when he enters a national TV talent show that threatens to take him away from his hometown of Greendale.

The voice cast is led by Stephen Mangan (Episodes, Dirk Gently) as Postman Pat; Jim Broadbent (Iris, Mouline Rouge); Rupert Grint (Harry Potter); and David Tennant (Doctor Who).
