Milkshake grows portfolio with Abby Cadabby

Channel 5 has signed up new 3D CGI animated series, Abby's Flying Fairy School, to its portfolio.

The series marks the first time a Sesame Street character has been transformed into a CGI animation, with the 3D look of Abby having been created by Ice Age designer, Peter De Séve.

The series follows Abby and her gang of new friends including genies, trolls, giants, imps and a pet 'gerbilcorn' called Niblet.

Abby's Flying Fairy School launches on Milkshake on Sunday April 29th.

"Sesame has really pulled the rabbit out of the hat with Abby's Flying Fairy School," said Jessica Symons, head of children's at Channel 5 Milkshake. "It is original, hilarious and beautifully produced. Abby will be a fantastic addition to Milkshake's brilliant array of pre-school heroes and she is sure to dazzle and enchant our young audience."

Renee Mascara, VP of international media distributon at Sesame Workshop, added: "We are thrilled to introduce pre-schoolers to Abby and her eclectic group of friends who learn that by working together they're able to solve problems - all the while having fun."
