Ian Downes joins Aardvark's recruiting team

Aardvark Swift is looking to build up the licensing side of its recruitment business, bringing in popular industry exec, Ian Downes.

The director of Start Licensing (pictured) will work alongside Ian Goodall and Jen Ruston. Aardvark also currently offers recruitment services in the toy and nursery sectors.

Downes will use his contacts and industry knowledge to help increase the number of licensing assignments for the firm. He will also work to source suitable candidates.

"It will be great having Ian on board to help build the licensing side of the business," said Aardvark's Ruston. "It is an area that we're really interested in. Ian's expertise, knowledge and credibility in the sector will help us grow the desk."

Downes added: "I have enjoyed working in recruitment before and find the networking aspect of it particularly appealing."
