New art property looking to make waves

A raft of product featuring new publishing property Goose & Friends will be on display over the coming weeks at Toy Fair and Spring Fair.

The brand is the creation of artist Laura Wall, probably best known for her fine art paintings inspired by the Devon and Cornish coastline.

Published last summer, the Goose & Friends books went straight into Sainsbury’s, Waterstones and a large number of independent book shops, and are now on their second print run.

Goose Goes to the Zoo has been shortlisted for the People’s Book Prize and also longlisted for Waterstones’ Children’s Book Prize 2013.

Wall is currently working on a second series of two titles, which will be published by Award later on this year.

In terms of licensed product, Aurora World has signed up for plush, which it will be showing at London Toy Fair next week, as well as at Spring Fair in Birmingham in February. Haddon Fine Art has a collection of limited edition prints, while Cards for Art’s Sake will be showcasing its greetings cards at Spring Fair.
