Animal welfare charity the RSPCA has awarded a licence to greeting cards speciaist Hallmark.
A host of cards, gift presentation, social stationery and crackers which hit shelves, using imagery based on the ‘Respect’ photographic style from the RSPCA’s recently launched style guide.
The first products in the new range appeared in late 2012 when Hallmark launched a range of greetings cards. They’re available nationwide across independents, supermarkets and card specialists.
Each card provides a link to the RSPCA website for further information about the animals featured on the card.
The agreement between the RSPCA and Hallmark is for three years.
The RSPCA’s licensing manager Cathy Snow said: “We are delighted with the new range. The quality of the cards in particular and the care with which the images have been chosen and employed are certain to guarantee a strong appeal to a wide audience."
Emma Read, brand manager at Hallmark, added: “Having the chance to bring these images to our cards and other personal expression products has been a great opportunity — not just to employ these wonderful images on our cards but to help the RSPCA raise valuable funds to help animals.”
The RSPCA is looking at, or has already signed, deals in such areas as apparel, giftware, toys, housewares, stationery, publishing, pet food, wild animal food and pet accessories.
