Melanie Beer departs Hallmark Cards

After two years as group licensing director at Hallmark Cards, Melanie Beer is to leave the firm at the end of February.

Beer (pictured) is to pursue a similar role within the industry which is closer to her home.

During her time at Hallmark, Beer has been instrumental in signing new brands, including Hello Kitty/Liberty, Discovery and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as well as renewing classic licences such as Disney and Warner Bros.

Beer has also built the UK licensing out strategy for Emily Button.

A replacement will be announced shortly, but in the meantime all enquiries should go to Dan Grant, senior licensing manager for licensing in, and Julie Michell, senior licensing manager for licensing out.
