Lord’s and Old Father Time brands boosted by CPLG

CPLG Sport has secured a new deal which will see the launch of products inspired by the Lord’s Home of Cricket and Old Father Time brands.

Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), which owns the brands, along with The Ashes Urn, has welcomed new partner Scotts of Thrapston.

Scotts is one of the country’s leading and most respected suppliers of timber buildings. The deal will allow fans to purchase clock towers and replica benches from Scotts, which incorporate the Lord’s and Old Father Time brands.

Scotts will also be endorsed as the Official Cricket Pavilion Partner of Lord’s, and will be granted the rights to use images owned by MCC to market its cricket pavilion business through various marketing channels.

"MCC is delighted to be working with Scotts," said Elly Ford, MCC marketing manager. "The agreement sees the Club moving into a unique new merchandising sector and represents a fantastic addition to our licensing programme."

Nicola Thompson, senior commercial manager at CPLG Sport, added: "Iconic brands such as Lord’s and Old Father Time have a lot to offer potential partners across all categories in licensing, and this deal is part of our strategy to develop what are already fantastic brands into new and innovative areas."
