The Collective has partnered with HarperCollins Children’s Books for a series of The Annoying Orange inspired joke and picture books.
In a deal brokered by North American licensing agent The Joester Loria Group, the Cartoon Network comedy show will release a series of books later this year.
The first joke book, Annoying Orange: How to be Annoying, will debut this autumn for readers aged six to ten years old.
The follow up title, Annoying Orange: Halloweenie, will release in summer 2014.
HarperCollins also plans to publish four more titles in 2014 including a second joke book, a Valentine’s Day book and a Christmas book.
"A breakout hit among the grade school set, Annoying Orange has a huge following among young fans of the web and television shows," David Linker, executive editor at HarperCollins, said.
"We look forward to developing this new publishing program for young readers who revel in his cheeky sense of humour and irreverent sensibility."
