Beyblade returns in new video game

The smash Beyblade kids’ property is spinning back to retail and TV screens.

The collector’s edition of Nintendo 3DS video game Beyblade: Evolution will include an exclusive, six-piece Wing Pegasus 90WF toy (pictured), previously unavailable outside of Japan.

Beyblade: Evolution lets players launch an in-game Beyblade to battle computer and human opponents. It’s a fresh take on the Metal Saga TV series.

The game also contains a sneak peek of upcoming TV series Beyblade: Shogun Steel, which airs worldwide in autumn and features a “revolutionary” new toy line from Hasbro.

Rising Star Games is publishing the 3DS game, which is due to arrive this autumn.

The top-rated Beyblade animated TV series can be seen in over 80 countries, including Canada (YTV), US (Cartoon Network), UK (NickToons), France (Gulli), Germany (Nickelodeon) and Latin America (Disney XD).
