AG Properties is introducing the Disney XD series Packages from Planet X at this year’s Licensing Expo.
And the company is seeking out a variety of licensing categories to suport the programme including toys, games, apparel and back to school.
The new property targets boys aged seven to 11, adding to its popular show driven roster, including Strawberry Shortcake, Care Bears and Holly Hobbie.
The company is also using the show to introduce potential licensees to the international greeting card character, Boofle.
Packages from Planet X (pictured) debuts in the US on the Disney channel on saturday, July 13th. The show follows the adventure of a 15 year old boy who discovers mysterious and powerful packages driving at his door.
Already a successful brand in the UK, Boofle started as a greeting card line. It has now expanded to more than 15 licensees, including plush, apparel, bedding, jewellery and sweets.
AGP has plans for further products for the brand, targeting women aged 18 to 40 as well as teens, tweens and infants worldwide.
Carla Silva, VP of global licensing, said: "Packages from Planet X is an important strategic addition to our portfolio, allowing us to make our entrance into the boys’ market.
"In addition, we’re excited to introduce Boofle to new regions around the world since it’s been so successful in the UK. We have great expectations for all of our brands and we’re looking forward to a successful Licensing Show.”
