A plethora of new licensing deals or the popular children’s Christmas classic, The Snowman and the sequel The Snowman and The Snowdog have been revealed.
For the first time ever, the animated sequel is making its way onto DVD and Blu-ray, set for release on November 11th 2013.
The deal struck with Universal Pictures will see the release of two titles, The Snowman and The Snowdog – £10.99 on DVD and £15.99 on Blu-ray – and the special box set The Snowman and The Snowman and The Snowdog – £14.99.
The sequel to the classic animation was created to mark the 30th anniversary of the original film, and features the popular single, Light The Night from Razorlight drummer, Andy Burrows.
The Snowman and The Snowdog Original soundtrack by Ilan Esheri and Andy Burrows is now set for release this November.
Finally, a deal with publishing house Puffin will see the release of two new titles featuring the show’s popular characters with The Snowman Hand Puppet Book and The Snowman and The Snowdog Book and Plush.
Celebrating the 35th anniversary of the original picture book, the latest titles from Puffin are set for release on October 3rd this year.
Retailing at £10.99, the Hand Puppet Book features artwork from the classic picture book, The Snowman story by Raymond Briggs, and a hand puppet of The Snowman.
The Snowman and The Snowdog Book and Plush set, meanwhile, is priced at £12.99 and includes a mini paperback picture book and a plush Snodog.
