HIT Entertainment is expanding its content portfolio with three straight to DVD hour long specials for its popular brands, Thomas and Friends, Fireman Sam and, for the first time, Mike the Knight.
Production is currently underway for all three titles, Thomas and Friends: Tale of the Brave, Mike the Knight: Journey to Dragon Mountain and Fireman Sam: Heroes of the Storm.
The hour long special Thomas adventure and the Mike the Knight feature will premiere in 2014, while the Fireman Sam title is scheduled for a 2015 release.
The new titles will form part of HIT Entertainment’s renewed focus on tent pole events and its on-going commitment to investing in new content to ‘extend the ways in which audiences connect with its brands.’

Furthermore, the entertainment firm has also green lit a new CGI series of Thomas and Friends, marking the eighteenth series of the popular pre-school show.
