RoBel Confectionery is bringing a range of flavoured tongue tattoo sweets to the UK, exclusively distributing the treats to retail outlets in January 2014.
The range, called Tung Toos, has already enjoyed success across the pond in the US, Canada and Australia, as well as attracting attention from popular children’s properties, Disney Princess and Moshi Monsters.
The edible, temporary tongue tattoos are available in ‘hundreds of different styles and images’ including hearts, spiders, a violin and a football.
A big name in the US, Tung Toos has been involved in numerous promotions with other foods in the territory, including designs based on General Mills’ yoghurts bunny mascot, Minute Maid, Vanilla Coke and Cadbury.
In the UK, the first cross-promotions will offer Tung Toos alongside Bazooka Candy Brands products.
With a number of retailers and brands already signed up for the UK launch next year, RoBel Confectionery is offering opportunities to other brands across the entertainment spectrum.
Director of RoBel Confectionery and manager of the UK Tung Too brand, Victoria Lebor, said: "In many years of working with innovative products I have rarely been as impressed by a concept as I have with Tung Toos.
"It’s simple to understand, easy to enjoy and equally attractive to consumers, retail and brands. It’s the fun new experience that millions of British kids have been waiting for."
