Disney’s Frozen triumphs at BAFTAs

Frozen has won the BAFTA for Best Animated Film.

The film has already become the highest grossing Walt Disney feature animation title of all time within the UK and Ireland, generating £36.8 million to date and it has made more than $914 million worldwide.

Frozen beat the likes of Monsters University and Despicable Me 2 to the award.

As well as trumphing with ticket sales and BAFTA voters, the soundtrack to Disney’s Frozen was the biggest selling album across both compilation and artist charts for the week commencing 3rd February 2014, and is now gold certified.

The awards may yet continue to roll in for Frozen, when it goes up against DreamWorks Animations’ The Croods, Universal’s Despicable Me 2, Studio Ghibli’s The Wind Rises and La Parti Productions’ Ernest & Celestine for an Oscar on March 2nd.
