Planeta Junior is expanding its portfolio of popular children’s properties with Nutri Ventures, an animated series that promotes healthy eating to children.
The firm has secured the TV, licensing and merchandising rights to the new animation across the majority of Europe, including Spain, Italy, France, Greece and Eastern Europe.
The TV series – consisting of 100 episodes – follows the adventures of Teo, Lena, Ben and Nina who live in a grey city without food. The group must travel the seven kingdoms of nutrition in the search for food diversity.
Nutri Ventures features a digital platform allowing kids to access further adventures, view exclusive content, listen to music and engage with activities.
Diego Ibanez, Planeta Junior’s international commercial director has highlighted the importance of the deal for the firm, as it "involves working with the first children’s entertainment brand in the world that exclusively promotes healthy eating habits.
"Undoubtedly this is a property with which we will develop a great licensing plan."
The TV series will roll out across: Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Croatia, Albania, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Macedonia and Turkey.
