Syco and Polybius launch Union J augmented reality app

Syco Entertainment and computer visualisation studio Polybius Entertainment have teamed up for a new Union J app.

Using augmented reality technology, fans can feature next to the boy band, film full HD quality videos and take pictures together with them.

"We are delighted to be working with Syco Entertainment and Union J on the launch of this new technology," said David Goutcher, managing director, Polybius Entertainment.

"The boys have been a pleasure to work with and ‘JCats’ are in for a great treat. We can’t wait to see the pictures being shared of the boys presenting them with a Red Rose or snatching a kiss".

Stephen Mills, licensing manager at Syco Entertainment added:"Union J are proud to be the group launching this world’s first and know the fans will love it. Having an app is a great addition to the already successful licensing campaign and with a second album and tour planned, 2014 will continue Union J’s great start on.”

The app is available worldwide for iOS in the Apple app store and Android in the Google Play store.
