The growing range of Goodyear branded shoes is due to launch in the US this year through a new line offered by the SCL Footwear Group.
The latest development marks a significant period of growth for the Goodyear footwear collection, which has been developed and licensed to several key markets in Europe, Asia and Latin America through agent IMG Licensing.
The collection already includes a wide range of casual, outdoor and formal shoes and will soon launch its first women’s and children’s styles in Italy. Meanwhile, in Central America, the range saw its first TV campaign air on AXN and the Discovery Channel in late 2013.
"This new licensing agreement with SCL Footwear Group is a great opportunity to further leverage the Goodyear brand in our company’s largest media," said Nancy Ray, Goodyear’s director of licensed products. "This will build on Goodyear’s strong brand recognition in the US where our leading products, retail stores, presence in NASCAR and the visibility of our blimps have made Goodyear a household name."
