Warner Bros. Consumer Products EMEA is preparing for its biggest ever presence at the third Russian Licensing Forum this week with ELC, its licensing representative for the territory.
At the event, Warner Bros will share news about its licensing support for its new content and animation, as well as showcase recent products from licensees and retail partners.
The firm’s classic animations and film brands have enjoyed success in Russia, with Tom and Jerry one of Russia’s strongest animation brands.
The show has been on air in the region for decades and Warner states that Tom and Jerry is ‘considered by the general public to be a Russian animation classic’.
Looney Tunes and Scooby-Doo have also enjoyed a boost in Russia in the last 12 months thanks to brand-building retail events and higher visibility for the brands at retail.
The studio has also found DC Comics characters are performing well in Russia, a fact the company attributes to the success of big screen adventures like The Dark Knight trilogy and Man of Steel.
