DreamWorks Animation has appointed Compania Panamericana de Licencias (CPL) as its licensing agent in Brazil.

The deal expands on the existing relationship between the two firms which already encompasses Bolivia, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela and Mexico.

Jonathan Baker, head of international consumer products at Dreamworks Animation, commented: "We enjoy a wonderful relationship with CPL throughout Latin America and believe they are perfectly suited to drive our business in Brazil.

"As DreamWorks Animation establishes itself as a global family entertainment brand, we continue to implement our 365 strategy at retail worldwide with the help of top agents like CPL."

Luis Salazar, CPL president, added: "We feel very proud and excited to further build and strengthen the DreamWorks Animation brand in Brazil and to expand our relationship with the company."
