Cartoon Network to air LEGO Batman special

LEGO has teamed with Cartoon Network to air a LEGO DC Comics special, featuring the iconic caped crusader in his LEGO brick guise.

Hot on the heels of the announcement of the LEGO Batman Movie, the special, titled LEGO DC Comics: Batman Be-Leaguered, will hit screens on October 27th.

The feature will tie in to the upcoming LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham videogame.

‘Batman prides himself on being a loner, a totally self-sufficient one-man band. Just ask anyone; Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, Alfred…anyone. So, he is understandably irritated when his nightly cleanup of Gotham City villains is interrupted by Superman, who pesters the hero to join his new team,’ read a description of the special.

‘After Batman makes it clear to the Man of Steel that his invitation has been declined, Superman flies off disappointed, whereupon he is overcome with a strange energy and vanishes.’

The LEGO DC Comics: Batman Be-Leagured special will air on the network at 6pm on October 27th.
