Olly the Little White Van is motoring into 2015 having secured a new major licensing partnership and a new non-executive director.
Olly Ltd, the company behind the popular kids’ series, has appointed Start Licensing to drive the licensing and merchandising programme across the UK and Ireland.
The firm will also offer advice on the brand’s global campaign as further agencies and partners are appointed around the world.
“The potential for this favourite pre-school property is self-evident and we are therefore looking forward to souping up the licensing drive and taking Olly to a much wider audience,” said Ian Downes, head of Start Licensing.
“We believe that Olly is quite unique in the pre-school arena and after three years of growing awareness and great ratings on Milkshake and Cartoonito, it is time to capitalise on this.”
Meanwhile, industry specialist, Simon Spalding has joined Olly Ltd’s board as a non-executive director. The former Hasbro, Dreamworks and Fremantle Media executive joins with the remit of ‘significantly growing the brand.’
