Twitter teams with Disney for Star Wars Emojis

Twitter has partnered with Disney and Lucasfilm to create custom Star Wars Twitter emojis.

A variety of custom emojis will be released in honour of the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens, including iconic legacy characters and a handful of new characters.

The first three #StarWarsEmojis, #C3PO, #Stormtrooper and #BB8, debuted yesterday during the Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, California.

Twitter users who post hashtags representing keywords associated with specific Star Wars characters and legacy themes (#C3PO, #Stormtrooper and #BB8) will see a small emoji-like icon automatically appended to the end of the text of the tag, embedded within the Tweet.
