Disney’s Frozen was the big winner at last night’s LIMA International Licensing Awards, walking away with the top accolade of Overall Best Licensed Program.
In a ceremony held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center on the first day of Licensing Expo, Frozen also won in the Film, Television or Entertainment (Animated) Program category.
Kohl’s Department Stores received the Retailer of the Year award for its in-store presentation of Frozen. In addition, Jakks Pacific tied with Playmate Toys’ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles product line for the win in the Film, Television or Entertainment (Animated) Licensee: Hard Goods category for its Disney Frozen Snow Glow Elsa doll.
Other highlights included One Direction scooping the Celebrity or Music Program; Hasbro’s My Little Pony winning Character or Toy Brand Program; Minecraft picking up Digital Program; Lovehoney’s Fifty Shades of Grey range winning Film, Television or Entertainment (Live Action) Licensee: Hard Goods; and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter scooping Location-Based or Experiential Initiative.

"These achievements underscore the high calibre of today’s licensing initiatives and the significance of licensed properties and brands throughout the world."
