Hoho Rights has been appointed as the global licensing agent for the multi-platform preschool property, Puffin Rock.
Currently airing on RTE and Nick Junior, the animated series follows a family of puffins who spend their days exploring the natural environment of their island home. Narrated by comedy star Chris O’Dowd, the series is a co-production between Cartoon Saloon, Northern Irish children’s media company Dog Ears and global book publisher Penguin Random House with the support of Northern Ireland Screen and the Irish Film Board.
"We are absolutely delighted to be representing Puffin Rock,” commented Hoho’s joint managing director Helen Howells. “With its classic picture book style, this original series feels like a property that is immediately familiar. It’s high time for puffins to make a return to the British Isles and these little seabirds really look like they’re going places. We look forward to introducing this charming property to retailers and licensees at BLE”.
Laura Campbell, editorial director Dog Ears added: “We’re excited to be working with Hoho. They have a great understanding of our brand and big plans for the global licensing. We look forward to seeing our Puffins flying off the shelves.”
Hoho Rights will be launching Puffin Rock at Brand Licensing Show next month and looking to secure UK licensee and retail partnerships and international licensing agents. The team can be found at BLE Stand B100.
