Disney Publishing Worldwide and Lucasfilm’s Star Wars Reads Day, on October 10th, is set to encompass thousands of regional and international storytelling events.
Participants in this year’s events includes Disney, DK Books, Egmont Publishing, Scholastic, Abrams, Chronicle Books, and many more.
The line-up of events spans Star Wars-themed games and activities, various author-related signings, meet-and-greets, panels, and readings at bookstores, libraries and other venues across the country in an effort to promote literacy.

“The growth of this initiative globally is a true testament to the force of the Star Wars franchise and the importance of reading.”
This year, events will take place at the Cheltenham Literature Festival, Seven Stories in Newcastle and Discover Children’s Story Centre in London.
Furthermore, retailers including WHSmith, Waterstones, Foyles, Harrods, Easons in Ireland, and The Disney Store in the UK and Ireland will be hosting activities or giveaways in support of Star Wars Reads Day.
