Planeta Junior and m4e join forces for new licensing and merch powerhouse

Planeta Junior has joined forces with the German brand management team m4e to form a new production, distribution, licensing and merchandising powerhouse.

Under the new alliance, several rights from Planeta Junior’s IPs and m4e’s developments will now be co-produced.

The pair will also distribute each other’s audio and visual rights catalogue, with Planeta Junior focusing on France and Southern Europe while m4e will cover Central and Northern Europe, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, North America, Africa and the Middle East.

Together, both companies will handle Eastern Europe and have stated that the new joint branding will be revealed soon.

“This strategic collaboration represents a major step for the m4e group in terms of deep distribution, managing our rights and consumer product business in Europe as well as financing aspects of our production slate,” said Hans Ulrich Stoef, CEO of the m4e Group.

“We share the same vision and due to our strong teams the new venture offers a huge opportunity to better control our rights portfolio and revenue streams.

“Right from the beginning of the discussions we felt that Planeta Junior is the natural fir for such a partnership.”
