Mister Maker arts and crafts activities head to Sea Life centres this May

Zodiak Kids has agreed a co-promotion deal with the Merlin Entertainments Group’s network of Sea Life centers that will see Mister Maker arts and crafts activities featured across all 12 Sea Life Centres in the UK and Ireland.

The four week event is centred around the UK’s May Half Term Holiday break in 2016 and will allow children visiting the centres to create unique sea themed makes to take home.

The popular CBeebies presenter has put together a series of six exclusive instruction videos to help children make marine animals ranging from a paper-plate stingray to a foil and tissue paper shark.

Mister Maker is a naturally engaging character who just makes arts and crafts easy and fun for every child, whether they have a flair for art or not," said Jamie Turner, head of marketing UK, Merlin Entertainments.

"The way he introduces each project will also help our younger visitors learn more about the particular sea creatures they will be making, which we hope will encourage many to go on and learn more”

2016 promises to be a big year for Mister Maker.

Back in January, Zodiak Kids secured a major three year renewal with its arts and crafts licensee Creativity International, as well as new deals with toucanBox and Add Trading.

Both new partners will create an additional Mister Maker offering containing arts and crafts kits that children can do at home with all the elements delivered direct to them on a subscription basis.

Mister Maker’s seventh series, Mister Maker’s Arty Party, launched on CBeebies in December last year and become the second highest performing series for four to six year olds on the channel for 2015.
