BWI launches merchandise roll-out for Nelly and Nora following strong TV figures

Brands With Influence has launched the UK licensing programme for Nelly and Nora following strong viewing figures for the CBeebies show.

Produced by Dublin based Geronimo Productions, Nelly and Nora has seen a second series scheduled having regularly topped the charts for pre-schoolers and enjoyed three million iPlayer views since its launch in August 2015.

CBeebies has also commissioned a new series of Nelly and Nora radio shows in parallel with the first licensed products coming to market.

Now that Walker Books has published the first of its books, The Windy Way Home, and Dazzler Media has signed for DVD and DTO, Brands with Influence is rolling out the merchandise programme.

“The series has launched into the UK during a highly competitive period for preschool shows and has quietly but surely gained momentum with the pre-school audience," said Martin Lowde from BWI.

"We are now delighted to see a second series coming to CBeebies and the launch of the first products into retail.”

Gerard O’Rourke from Geronimo added: “The key to Nelly and Nora’s success is the loveable and endearing quality of the two main characters. Nelly and Nora are on a path of discovery and every storyline is driven by the weather. The viewer goes on that journey with them, and every pre-school child can easily relate to the situations and fun exploits.”

Nelly and Nora is also launching on KiKa in Germany and the show has also secured broadcast across Scandinavia. CBeebies Worldwide is also broadcasting the show on their global network.
