Winx Club spreads its wings across Indian market

The Winx Club is spreading its wings across India thanks to a new broadcasting partnership with the territory’s leading kids’ channel Sun TV.

From June this year, four regional channels: Chutti TV, Kochu TV, Kushi TV and Chintu TV will air seasons four, five, six and seven of the hit animated property from Italian studio Rainbow.

The latest swathe of deals adds to the property’s growing global audience that currently spans 150 broadcasters worldwide, reaching over 15 million viewers each day.

“Winx Club is a huge hit wherever it is shown and I am sure Indian fans will be just as enthusiastic,” said Andrea Graciotti, head of sales, TV series, movies and co-production of Rainbow Group.

“We are delighted to be linking up with Chutti TV as they are a great broadcast partner and will do a fantastic job in bringing this magical series to Indian screens.”
