Disney’s live-action feature The Jungle Book continues its reign at the UK and global box office, marking its second week as king of the swingers.
The big screen re-make swung to £21 million at the UK box office within ten days, taking ten times more than any other film on Saturday and surpassing the lifetime takings of Maleficent, Oz and Snow White and the Huntsman.
The film also remains number one at the US box office with a total of $191 million to date while globally it is already the fourth biggest movie of the year with $528 million.
Meanwhile, in India the film is now the biggest Hollywood movie of all time.
Disney continues to swing from strength to strength as it continues to hold two of the top five spots at the UK box office with disney’s Zootropolis still performing well.
Globally the movie has now made $907 million, making it the third biggest Walt Disney Studios Animation of all time, behind The Lion King and Frozen.
