Mattel teams with Nintendo to launch Super Mario Uno in Japan

Global toy manufacturer Mattel has teamed with Nintendo to release a Super Mario themed version of its hit party game Uno.

The Uno branded Super Mario Card Game will launch across Japan next month and will feature the iconic character Mario alongside the cast of characters from the Mushroom Kingdom.

Luigi, Toad and Princess Peach will join the line-up in a game that will boast a special Mario Rule during gameplay.

The Super Mario Uno card game will hit retailers across the territory from June 18th with the suggested retail price of 1,296 Yen.

There is no word on whether the game will make its way to western territories as of yet.

“We often outsource products to areas with a specific interest, so we cannot guarantee they will be released elsewhere,” a Mattel spokesperson told Nintendo News.
