Cartoon Network is gearing up to launch the first interactive Adventure Time gaming experience to the hit show’s UK fan base.
Titled An Ooo Experience, the experience will tour UK shopping centres offering fans the chance to jump into the Land of Ooo and engage with characters form the animated series.
Tasked with saving Candy Kingdom from the Nightosphere, players will be placed in front of a giant LED screen and motion sensors will let them interact and play with Adventure Time’s cast of characters including Finn, Jake, Marceline and Princess Bubblegum.
Richard Kinning, UK director at Turner, said: “We are thrilled to be collaborating with Hellicar&Lewis to launch Adventure Time’s first-ever live interactive experience.
“This game was inspired by our massive fan base for the show; we wanted to offer them a unique Adventure Time experience like never before.
“An Ooo Experience offers players a mix of theatre, character interaction and the opportunity to explore and immerse themselves in the Land of Ooo. We hope it attracts both existing fans and also new ones who just fall in love with the characters like we have.”
An Ooo Experience will kick off a five-week tour in shopping centres across the UK this June, landing at Intu Merry Hill from June 11th to 12th, Intu Lakeside on June 18th and 19th, Manchester Arndale on June 25th and 26th, Intu MetroCentre in Gateshead Newcastle on July 2nd and 3rd and Intu Braehead in Glasgow on July 9th and 10th.
