Laurence King Publishing teams with Ordnance Survey on Great British colouring map

Laurence King Publishing has teamed with Ordnance Survey to release the first The Great British Colouring Map.

A limited edition colouring book based on accurate Ordnance Survey maps, the new title has been billed as a ‘colouring journey around Britain’ and is scheduled to hit shelves this October.

The Great British Colouring Map will feature 55 illustrations and its release has been timed to coincide with the 225th anniversary of Ordnance Survey.

Nick Giles, director of marketing and communications at Ordnance Survey, said: “It is hugely exciting to see The Great British Colouring Map taking shape and we look forward to showcasing our maps to a new audience.

“It has been fantastic working with the talented team at LKP on this collaboration: its creativity and expertise in the colouring-in area speaks for itself.”

Laurence King, managing director at LKP, added: “We are delighted to be working with Ordnance Survey on this unique colouring book, based on its world-leading maps of Great Britain.

“Each of the highly detailed maps in the book are a work of art in their own right and we are looking forward to giving readers the opportunity to bring each of them to life when The Great British Colouring Map comes out in October.”
