Penguin Random House takes on publishing rights for Kazoops

Penguin Random House Australia is set to take on the publishing rights for Kazoops, following its debut success in the UK and Australia.

“Penguin Random House are thrilled to be partnering with Cheeky Little Media in developing a publishing program for Kazoops,” said Laura Harris, publishing director at Penguin Random House Young Readers.

“The property has all the essential storytelling ingredients for a pre-school audience – adventure, humour, imagination and more. It’s a privilege to be working on such an exciting original concept from the innovative team at Cheeky Little Media and we look forward sharing the Kazoops world with young readers.”

A range of titles are set for release in June 2017, which will include storybooks, sticker and activity books.

Patrick Egerton, executive producer at Cheeky Little Media, added: "We’re really chuffed to be partnering with a publisher of Penguin’s calibre on Kazoops.

“The show has made a strong start in the UK and Australia, which is really exciting, so we’re looking forward to engaging our audience further in book form. With so many ideas being tackled across the series, and the richness and depth of design, we hope there’s a lot to work with.”

Kazoops is also looking for various other licensing partners in categories including global toy, apparel and accessories.
