US: Mean Girls musical on the way next year

A Mean Girls musical is set to hit the stage in Washington DC next autumn, it has been revealed.

The news was first announced on the official Mean Girls Twitter and Facebook page yesterday (October 3rd), which marked Mean Girls Day.

Tina Fey, original writer and star of the film, has been reportedly working on the upcoming show this summer, with her husband and composer Jeff Richmond, and lyricist Nell Benjamin, who will create the production.

Here’s hoping the musical opens on a Wednesday, so we can all don pink outfits again.
