The Smiley Company inks deal with Dream Theatre

The Smiley Company has signed Dream Theatre as the firm’s new Indian agents.

“India is a great market for Smiley, We already have over half a million Indian fans on social media and this is our largest and most engaged online community in the world,” said Nicolas Loufrani, CEO of Smiley.

As part of the deal, Smiley will be working with two retail chains, including Archie’s and Lifestyle, a department store.

Loufrani added: “These retail successes have led us to create a strategy to launch new collections into the market and together with Dream Theatre I am confident this will be achieved quickly.

"This includes developing our signature range Smiley "Happy Collection" in India, which will tap into the classic heritage styles that have become so popular today with India’s growing middle classes and Smiley Baby which lends itself so well to India’s growing population.”

Jiggy George, founder and CEO of Dream Theatre, commented: “We are delighted to be working the Smiley Company, having already received favourable traction in India we can count on their unique design sensibility to market a gamut of products in the market.”
