Netflix renews Skylanders Academy for third season

Skylanders Academy will return to Netlfix for a third season, it has been confirmed today by Activision Blizzard. Season 3 will premiere in 2018 with production beginning this month by the French production company TeamTO.

The announcement comes ahead of the second season that will begin later this year. Activision Blizzard has also announced voice talent for the second season including Felicia Day (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), James Hetfield (frontman of Metallica) and oscar-winner Susan Sarandon.

"Activision Blizzard Studios celebrates the opportunity to bring another season of quality programming to families around the world," Activision Blizzard Studios co-president Nick van Dyk said in a statement. "We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Netflix on this iconic franchise."
