The iconic Betty Boop is jumping into her very own comic strip as she dons a cape to become Women’s Day new superhero Heroine of Hearts.
The comic strip has been devised as an innovative new way for Women’s Day – a leader in the fight against heart disease in women – to present important heart health information to readers.
The comic follows Betty as she battles the evil Dark Heart, while sharing information to illustrate simple ways women can protect themselves against heart disease.
The partnership – one forged between Women’s Day, Fleischer Studios and King Features – marks the first time the two brands have come together.
To celebrate the collaboration, Betty Boop will be making an appearance on the red carpet at Women’s Day premier heart health event, the Red Dress Awards on February 7th, this year.
Artwork created for Heroine of Hearts will be featured on a merchandise collection available exclusively from Zazzle.
